Clash of the Cards

I bought this as a gift for a person who loves strategy games as a potential quick-to-learn game for game nights. We've been playing it with just 2 people before realizing that it's for 3-6 players. Even still, this is a really fun game, takes some strategy and memory, and is definitely re-playable. I found the video included in the product's photo gallery very helpful to learn how to play.

Purchased for my brother for Christmas. Was easy to learn and we had a blast at the dinner table over the holiday and many more since.

This is a quick and fun strategic card game. Can be played in less than an hour and has enough strategy to feel re-playable, but is relatively easy to pick up. Well done and great value for the price of the game.

The game is excellent for 3/4 players but can also be played with 2 (due to the game mechanics it becomes less fun).The special cards in the game increase the complexity and fun and depending on the level / age of the players you can easily add/remove some from the deck.The card quality is above average, not the forever lasting plasticky ones but they feel solid in hand.The images / character designs are very well made and help kids get engaged.I am basing this review entirely on playing with kids and for this particular purpose this product is a good balance of fun/difficulty and great value for money with tons of replayability.

Clash of Cards is a fun and engaging game. It is easy to learn (my 7 year old picked it up with the first hand) but there are surprising amounts of strategy embedded in the game. Despite a simple premise, there are many approaches to winning, all of which have their advantages and drawbacks, and counterstrategies. The game also has a very fun theme - each character card is unique, with a different name and quote (some quite clever), which adds variety despite there being six of every numbered card that has the same art. Definitely recommend!

Picked this up with a few other games to play during family night. This is a fun little card game. Easiest description would be if Go-Fish and War had babies, you'd be playing Go-Piranha. There some tactics, luck and straight up fun needed to play this game. We're really enjoying this and even brought it out for a small friendly gathering with wine/beer and adulting.

Play with my husband and 10yo and 8yo sons. We looked at the instructions and were quite worried as they seemed intense. We actually picked it up pretty quickly and the game is a blast. The kids have no trouble playing and frequently beat the adults. The death card can switch up the game pretty good. Tons of fun playing this.

When we first received it, the first thing I noticed was that the box felt very sturdy and hefty. The cards are not cheaply made where it is thin and flimsy. They have a nice little weight to it. The box, cards, and instructions are very cute and adorable. Instructions of game play is very clear and concise with even recommended variants of game play if you want to change things up a little. Fun and engaging game. Definitely receive a lot of giggles, laughs, and "No!" throughout the game. The game feels a little like playing Poker and Go Fish combined. Will absolutely recommend this card game to family and friends!

My family loves this game! My boys are 5 and 8 and both love it, as well as us grown-ups too! Easy to play, with minimal setup - it was a big hit with extended family around the holidays too. I definitely recommend it to everyone looking for a new family game to play.

My family and I love this game. My son who is nine can't get enough of it and he has actually made his own cards to go with the game. We play this at least three or four times a week. It is very easy to learn and the more players the more fun it is.

I stumbled upon this game on Amazon and my family and I absolutely love it. It's best suited for kids 7 and up [my eight year old plays it all the time], but even my five year old son enjoys playing a simple version of it. It's a quick game, requires some strategy and you can increase the complexity with variations. It's become part of my go-to as part of birthday gifts for kids.

It's a funt game once you get the concept (we recommend watching the video - long but worth watching to understand) and as long as everyone "plays." We have made modifications to keep it from becoming boring/annoyed at other players. Two things to make it better: you can't draw on every turn - which if someone starts to do can mean amassing lots of great cards with no consequences really (they get lots of castles and things to defend themselves) - and playing to more than 1000 points. Our family can hit 1000 in two rounds easily and it makes for a very short, game. The concept overall is fun and good for a range of ages - definitely worth playing.

Use trump cards to capture a pile and add it to your hand. The goal is to build two straits first and go out, ending a round. There are a few extra cards to do things like save a trump from the discard pile and death card worth negative points, but that's basically it.That could be fun, but at least from the games we've played so far it's balanced heavily towards luck over skill so a lot of the things that might be interesting about the game don't really pan out.So ok casual game. I don't know if it has sticking power though.

This game is very fun and has a surprising amount of depth. I would recommend at least 4 people play, the more the better. This is a party game.The instructions are too brief for comfort. My 7 year old bro was able to play, but only after a few rounds of practice and many rereads of the rules on my part.Other than that I recommend!

Simple game, but not very engaging. I enjoyed the artwork but couldn't convince a group to even hop back in for a round 2 after playing once.

My family and I loved this game. Brought it with us to family get-togethers during the holidays and others enjoyed playing too. The strategy is fun to play and adjust to. It has a points system that encourages you to play multiple rounds, but you don't have to in order to enjoy the game. Cards are good quality and each character has some unique and funny sayings. Really glad I picked this one up.

A nice game tho a little complicated for younger players to get started. Cons: cards are small, stock is a bit thin, colors a bit hard to differentiate. Pros: Clever mechanics and some subtle strategy make this a nice light weight challenge that we will play again.

I picked up this game on a whim. I was looking for games to play with my 7 tmyear old son while on an extended hospital stay and snagged this one. What I didn’t expect was for him to want to play this for hours on end. We started with eh simplified version in the rules (keeping all of the specialty cards out of the deck) so that he could get used to the mechanics. Then we started adding the specialty cards in one type at a time. I was impressed with how quickly he picked up the game and the strategy. This game is definitely our new favorite for family game night. All of the kids and even my wife look forward to playing it!

I played this game at Comic Con in Salt Lake City last year with the game designer. Game is awesome! Fast pace and fun for the entire family. I like that the younger kids (age 7-8) can pick up the and have as much fun as the adults around the table. Lot's of strategy going on which keeps the older people engaged. This would be a starter game for your library, play lasts anywhere between 15-20 min perfect for game nights where your kids want to join for the first part of game night. I got a copy for our family and the game has become a hit with extended family as well. Five Stars!
